Months to Pay Off Student Loan



The above chart illustrates how many months it takes to pay off a student loan financing 60 credit hours (a full load for two years) with a Colorado Community College System college (60 credits tuition = $2,430) versus the average tuition for 60 credits at four popular public 4-year schools (average tuition for 60 credits = $5,273). The calculated estimated time to pay off these loans assumes monthly payments of $100 at an interest rate of 8.2%

The average tuition cost was determined by adding the cost of tuition for CU Arts and Sciences Courses, CU Business Courses, CSU Arts and Sciences Courses, CSU Business Courses, UNC Business Courses, UNC Non-Business Courses and Mesa State College Courses and Dividing the Sum by seven (the preceding represents seven different tuition price-points).
