Why Apply

Save Money on The First Two Years of Your Bachelor's Degree

If you are looking for a four-year degree, you can start at or even stay at one of our 13 community colleges to realize your goal (for certain areas of study, faculty from four-year schools teach junior and senior level classes on our campuses).

If you choose to make your start at one of our 13 community colleges and later wish to transfer your credits to any other public four-year institution within Colorado, you can do so without losing any ground.

Any student who earns an A.A. or A.S. degree at a Colorado public community college including completing the state guaranteed general education courses, with a grade of C or better in all courses will transfer with junior standing into any arts and science degree program offered by a Colorado public four-year college, by The Statewide Transfer Policy.

Since 1988, Colorado has had an operating two-plus-two transfer agreement that ensures a student who completes an A.A. or A.S. degree with a C or better in all courses will have junior standing at the receiving school. The two-plus-two agreement allows a student to transfer a minimum of 60 credit hours toward a baccalaureate degree.

With all liberal arts and sciences degrees designed to be completed in 120 credit hours, a transfer student can complete a four-year degree in the same time as a native student, 120 hours. You can easily finish your last two years at the respected institution, completing your undergraduate degree in four years.

Each of our 13 community colleges has special transfer articulation agreements and opportunities at surrounding colleges and universities.
