Lakewood Campus
Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the main campus of Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood, Colorado is only minutes from Denver and a little more than an hour from the nearest world-class ski slopes. The main campus is situated on a 140-acre site complete with beautiful mountain and city vistas. Much of the region’s wildlife including deer, elk, foxes and coyotes can be seen right through the classroom windows. The quarter-mile-long building houses everything from state-of-the-art multimedia graphics computer labs to construction technology worksites, traditional classrooms and labs and health-careers practice areas. The building’s long main hallway is filled with students from around the metro area, the state, the country and 40 foreign countries. The full range of services for students includes academic advising, tutoring, financial aid, cafeteria and coffee shop, recreational facilities, climbing wall, fitness enter, library, a project center and student employment center.
Arvada campus
The Arvada campus is known for its innovative scheduling options and its welcoming setting. The campus, which lies just northwest of the intersection of I-70 and Kipling, has state-of-the-art "smart" classrooms and offers a variety of courses from Anthropology to Speech. We also offer general education core courses and basic-skills courses in math and English. The LARC (Learning and Resource Center) is the centerpiece of the building, housing the computer commons, assessment, online support, library services, tutorial services in math writing and basic skills, free computerized pre-
GED testing, career resources, study areas and Internet access. Students can receive advising, register for classes and receive financial aid information in one convenient location.
Unique Programs
Red Rocks Community College offers more than 150 programs and 650 courses leading to two-year degrees or professional certificates in some of today’s hottest fields including health careers, computer technology, fire science, outdoor education, law enforcement and many more. Red Rocks’ Physician Assistant and Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs are among the select few available at a community college.
Red Rocks Community College offers the following degrees: Associate of Arts (transferable), AS - Associate of Science (transferable), AGS - Associate of General Studies (pre-professional transfer or occupational) and AAS - Associate of Applied Science (occupational).
