Founded in 1941, Otero Junior College is located on an attractive 40-acre campus on the southern edge of La Junta, Colorado. Within two years, students at OJC can earn degrees in Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science or Associate of General Studies. Agreements with all Colorado public 4-year colleges and universities enable a smooth academic transfer for students to apply their credits toward a 4-year degree.

The college sponsors over a dozen student organizations including a nationally awarded Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and an International Relations organization that celebrates and promotes cultural diversity on the campus. The OJC Rattlers varsity athletic programs include Women’s Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Golf. Men’s varsity sports include Basketball, Baseball, and Golf.
